Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT)

I offer VR therapy via VR Headsets to clients located anywhere in the state of California.

What is VRT?

Where online therapy (teletherapy) can be conducted over platforms like Zoom, VRT utilizes headsets to dive into a computer generated environment alongside the therapist. VRT also allows the opportunity to participate in therapy under the guise of an avatar. When integrated with Art Therapy and Somatic techniques, clients are able to access treatment virtually while engaging in creative therapy practices in an immersive 3D space.

Contact me here and we can discuss the specifics of your situation in a free consultation.

How Successful is VRT?

VRT is a newer form of therapy treatment that works for a wide range of concerns. It has shown long-term success in the following categories:

  • Pain management

  • Anxiety, including social anxiety and public speaking anxiety

  • Depression

  • Phobias

  • PTSD

  • Eating disorders

  • Grief and loss

  • Substance use disorders

  • Disorders where compulsive behavior or interpersonal dynamics are significantly impacted

What are your fees for VRT?

See details on Payment Information.

Do you offer VRT to families, teens, and children?

Yes! I offer online therapy for children, teens, and adults (available for individual, couples, and family sessions). Each participating individual is required to have their own headset.

What are the requirements for using VRT?

All you need is the following:

  • A fast, reliable Internet connection. Generally, if you can stream videos (e.g. YouTube or Netflix) on your computer, your connection is probably good enough for use with Zoom and/or VRT.

  • A Windows PC or Mac computer equipped with a camera, a microphone and the VR software installed (can be installed on your mobile device).

  • A quiet environment.

  • A VR Headset (Contact me for details)

What if I don’t have internet connection or the quality does not support video conferencing and VRT?

I offer therapy by phone which can also serve as a backup if your internet connection stops working.
